By Road
NH 54 originates from Agartala and goes northeast across Tripura into Assam, enters Meghalaya and joins NH 40 near Shillong.
NH 40 Agartala to Guwahati - 599 km, Agartala to Shillong - 499 km
Buses are available from Guwahati to Agartala ( 24 hrs.)

Agartala is also connected by road to Dhaka. The journey is covered in 6 hours. Tripura Road Transport Corporation has bus services from Agartala to other place in the state.
