Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary

The vast colony of residential and migratory birds makes Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary a lively attraction for birdwatchers. Just 30 km away from Agartala, it covers an area of 18.53 sq. km. In addition to this its orchid garden and botanical garden unfailingly lure visitors who come to enjoy a spin around the lake. It offers spectacular views of surrounding coffee and rubber plantations. There are a few tourist cottages in the sanctuary.

Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary

The bison, and residential as well as migratory bird populations are the major attraction for visitors at the Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary, situated about 100 km from Agartala.

Dumboor

The great lake of Dumboor, surrounded by verdant hills, is a popular picnic spot. There are 48 islands dotting the lake, which is home to variety of birds of all shapes and colours. During the migratory period the lake becomes a hive of hectic activity. You can also take a boat ride around this pretty lake.
